The prototypical sand-swimmer class Land Sharks (which SEE), snappers are only a yard in length, but their swarms make them a major hazard in the sandy wastes. The scent of blood can draw an additional swarm every 1-4 rounds after battle has been joined.
Snapping stones are named for both their camouflaging color; when at rest, with just their heads poking above the surface of sand or soil, they look just like a scattering of stones.
Boulder bull sand sharks are basically larger versions of the snapping stone sand shark.
"Helmeted" or "bonneted" sharks have progressed from having heads that simply look like stones to heads that are encased in stone-like armor.
